Across the ELP, multidisciplinary teams of 3-5 delegates work on a quality improvement project. They are supported by faculty and by a team mentor, and work to make a positive change in their work environment.
These projects offer an opportunity for delegates to work together as a leadership team, to apply their learning from the workshops, and to develop as collaborative leaders.
Teams meet weekly over whatever medium works, and this constitutes a considerable time commitment on the programme. The projects are also consistently cited as the most important and satisfying part of the ELP.
Projects are presented to senior executives and project stakeholders during the final session, and teams also submit a poster to the OUH QI Symposium.
